Grandma's 50th Birthday Party

Grandma just turned 50 years old!! So of course she had to have a party!! I got all dressed up in my pretty party dress and everyone held me!




Miss Cookie got to me first and didn't want to let me go!

My Auntie Beetle and all my Uncles played some good music with their band for entertainment! It was lots of fun!!

But by the end of the night I was exhausted...

My First Trip to Houston

When I was born my Auntie Beetle and my Grandpa came to see me in San Antonio. A week later my Uncle Ryan came to visit and Grandma had to go back home. But I still hadn't met my Uncle Rudy or Uncle Robert! So Mommy decided that we'd go to Houston a week before my baptism was scheduled to spend some time with her family and give me a chance to meet more people! And boy did I!

Uncle Robert wouldn't touch me...but Uncle Rudy is a little more brave!

Here I am being held by Becca (the next door neighbor)...I gave Becca my first smile...Mommy was NOT happy about that! But I think she has a funnier face! Or maybe I just see Mommy too much!!

And sleeping on the couch with Auntie Beetle and Niki and Penny! Niki and Penny are Grandma's dogs...they're much bigger than my sister!

I still love my bath time even in strange places! Fluffy towels are nice and warm...

I was there for a whole week before Daddy came to see us! He really missed me!!! I bet he loves that I'm learning to smile!

Put me down Daddy!!! I'm done!!!!!!

No, don't leave me down here!!!! This isn't fun! There has to be someone around who wants to carry me!

Sleeping Through the First Month!!!

Now that Daddy is home with me mostly we just sleep....

And sleep....

And sleep....

Did I mention I like to sleep???

Mommy has to wake me up every few hours to make me eat. I'd rather sleep but I guess her milk is okay, so I don't mind eating every once in awhile!

...my fingers taste good too!!

And then I go right back to sleep!!

Here I am asleep while Mommy, Daddy and Aphrodite take a picture with me! Sleeping is what I do...

Sometimes Aphrodite protects me while I sleep...

Sometimes she just sleeps with me!

Bath time is my favorite part of the day!! I love that warm water...

Uncle Joseph and Auntie Joanna bought me this activity mat! It's pink and lots of fun!

The only problem is...everytime Mommy tries to give me some tummy time...I fall asleep!!

But I don't discriminate...I like to sleep with everybody!

But sometimes it's best to sleep alone...

Actually...I think I'd like to be left alone now!!! Maybe next month I'll be more awake!

Time to go Home!!

Mommy really didn't like being at the hospital so she convinced her doctor and my doctor that we should get to go home early! Yay!! But I was so tiny I barely fit in the carseat!!! Look how they had to pack me in with blankets and washcloths!! Good thing daddy learned a lot from the carseat safety class so he knew how to do it!

When I got home my sister, Aphrodite, was so happy to see me!! She loves me already, but sometimes she has trouble sharing me with mommy...

She protects me and she really loves to sleep with me!!

And she REALLY loves my smelly diapers!

My grandma stayed with me for the first week. Mommy was really happy about that because Grandma helped put me back to sleep at night after mommy fed me and she made dinner and cleaned! But she couldn't stay for very long because my Auntie Beetle, my Uncle Rudy and my Uncle Robert needed her too!

But before she left my Grandpa came back to pick her up (and see me again of course!) and my Uncle Ryan came down from Austin with his girlfriend, Grace, to meet me! I have such a big family! Isn't it great?!

Does he looked scared to you??

It was really sad to see Grandma and Grandpa go....mommy cried...

But then Daddy got to stay home with me for a week so I was happy!!

Happy Birthday to Leilani!!

Mommy and Daddy were expecting me to come sometime between April 23rd and May 4th (those are the two due dates that the doctor gave them...). See me waving??

but I had my own plans and decided to make my entrance on April 20th! Mommy and Daddy were so surprised by it that they didn't even realize that what Mommy was feeling were real contractions!! They hadn't been to the hospital yet so they drove around in circles for awhile looking for an entrance while Mommy screamed...ALOT!!

My Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Beetle drove really fast all the way from Houston and got there just in time to help me come out!! Mommy was very thankful for that!

I know I wanted to get out of that belly, but as soon as I did everything was very crazy. People were all over the place, it was very bright, and well...I'm not so sure I liked it.

But you know what? Things got better and Mommy immediately wanted to hold me (Daddy was too busy texting...silly Daddy!!)

My Grandpa was super excited to meet me! Yah, he loves me already!!

I didn't fit into any of the clothes that everyone had bought for me because I was much smaller than they expected! A special shopping trip had to be made so I could have something to wear! I look pretty good in them!

I stayed in mommy's hospital room with her the whole time but we didn't stay long! The day after I was born I got to go to my new home!
